# pup documentation

> Set up pup, moderate your server, and understand its supported behavior.

pup is a Discord moderation application with durable cases, permission checks,
delivery recovery, and a dashboard. Access is currently limited to the private beta.

Start with [setup](https://docs.pup.run/setup.md), review [permissions](https://docs.pup.run/permissions.md), then use the
[command reference](https://docs.pup.run/commands.md). [Release notes](https://docs.pup.run/changelog.md) describe changes by
version. Planned roadmap capabilities are not available commands.

Some beta features are still being validated. The [public roadmap](https://beta.pup.run/roadmap)
shows their current status; a release note does not mean every feature is ready
for wider use. See [Assistant](https://docs.pup.run/assistant.md) for its settings and privacy limits.
